Description

Quiet country cabins. Quiet walks.

Three private  log cabins nestled in a pine setting on a dairy farm in the heart of Wisconsin's Hidden Valley Region. Our log cabins have queen log beds, modern bathrooms, fireplaces, air conditioning, and a loft with twin beds. They are furnished with homemade quilts, comfortable chairs, microwave and a refrigerator.

This is a perfect place for couples looking for romance in the peace and quiet and beauty of the quiet country. Families also welcome.

While staying at the Log cabins you may hike through the woods, cookout on the grill, use the picnic area, or relax on the porch or sit around the fire pit in the evening. In the morning a full breakfast consisting of a main dish, fruit, dessert, juice & coffee or tea is served in the breakfast room at the main house where you can watch the birds at their feeders and enjoy the beautiful flowers throughout the summer and fall.

Accommodation

All the downstairs beds are Queen and comfortable mattresses. In two of the cabins there are two twin beds in the lofts. The third cabin has a pull out queen couch. They all sleep 4 people comfortably. In the middle cabin is a cot and couch for extra sleeping room. Also in the first cabin is an small couch that makes into a bed.

The beds all have warm homemade quilts on them.  The fireplaces keep the cabins warm and cozy.

Air keeps it cool in the hot summer nights. Otherwise when it isn't to warm sleeping with the windows open brings the cool country air inside.

Our cabins are smoke free. The cleaning & laundry is done with Shaklee a natural environmentally, safe product.

You may shop in the Log Cabin gift shop filled with Quilted & Painted items, made by the owner, Antiques, much more.

We have quite a library of movies & C.D's of a variety to take to your room to watch.

We offer concierge services.

Only 5 miles from Sparta, known as the Bicycle Capital of America and we are located 1 1/2 miles from the Lacrosse River trail which connects to the   famous Sparta-Elroy bike trail a half mile away. We are only 3 miles from interstate 90. Canoeing & kayaking is a nearby sport on the Kickapoo and Black rivers and now on the Lacrosse river a few miles from here.  A large Amish community is close by with their shops and beautiful countryside. Horseback riding, fishing ,golfing, choice restaurants are close by  We are 20 miles from La Crosse with its great shopping, dining, and boat cruises on the Mississippi.

Our local festivals are Butter fest in Sparta during June and the famous Cranberry fest in Warrens in September. Winter fun includes snowmobiling, cross country snowshoeing, and downhill skiing.

The walking trail starts behind the cabins and meanders up and down hills through the woods. It is about one mile long. It is mowed and maintained all summer.

We allow an animal if you ask, the fee is 15.00 dollars a day and we expect you to keep it on a leash. Please have your pet groomed before bringing him or her, so it doesn't shed in the cabin. Bring a special blanket or bed or crate for it to sleep on as we don't want it on the quilts or furniture. We would prefer you don't leave him alone in the cabin when you go away for the day. Also clean up after your pet outside.
